I took my first yoga class at the local gym and BOOM!! - I was hooked! Having been a nationally competitive gymnast in my younger days, fitness and well being have always been an integral part of my life but I instantly fell in love with the breath work and energy of vinyasa flow. I have been practicing ever since, including completing the YogaWorks 200 hour teacher training program in Los Angeles under powerhouse senior teachers Jeanne Heileman and Joan Hyman. Since then, I have studied with many different teachers & practiced various styles of yoga, including Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga, Hatha and Kundalini. Yoga remains my best teacher. It's given me a deeper sense of balance, kindness, and compassion towards others as well as towards myself. This practice has taught me to embrace and appreciate the perfect imperfections in myself, in others, and in the world. For these reasons, my mat remains the place where I find comfort; the place I always return; the place that is “home” - no matter where I land on the globe. Confession: I have fallen in and out of love with my practice throughout the years and both extremes have offered teachable moments in staying present. These yogic lessons guide us in staying grounded as we navigate through this crazy world. I have yet to meet a single person that doesn’t benefit from the incredible gift of yoga….so I’ve decided to stop looking. See you in class!!
