    Smoothie Recipes

     

    Breakfast could be smoothie. There are dozens of recipes online but here is a start. You want a green vegetable, some fruit and a little bit of fat like coconut oil, avocado, chia or flax seeds

     

    1. GREEN SMOOTHIE

    1 small to medium banana

    1 rib of celery

    ¼ cucumber

    1 cup of fresh pineapple

    1 small handful of parsley

    ½ inch piece of ginger

    1 tbsp chia seeds

    1-2 cups of coconut water or water

     

    2. Creamy Green

    1 avocado

    1 frozen small to medium banana

    1 orange

    ½-1 cup of spinach or kale

    1-1 ½ cups of unsweetened almond milk

    Optional: 5-6 ice cubes

     

    3. Tropical Cleanse

    1 cup frozen or fresh pineapple1 small to medium banana (ripe and peeled)

    1 inch piece of ginger

    2 handfuls of spinach

    1 cup water

    1 tspn coconut oil

     

    4. Banana-Berry Super Smoothie

    2 cups of spinach

    1 frozen small to medium banana

    3/4 cup of frozen mixed berries

    ¼ cup of raw nuts or raw seeds (sunflower seeds, walnuts, flax seeds or almonds, or a combination of the above)

    1-2 cups of water or coconut water (unpasteurized)

     

    5. Purple Power Smoothie

    ¾ cup carrots, cut into chunks

    2 cups baby spinach, loosely packed

    1 apple, stem and seeds removed

    1 banana¾ cup frozen blueberries

    ½ cup frozen mango chunks, or any other frozen fruit

    1 tablespoon chia seeds

    ½” cube fresh ginger root, peeled

    4-5 ice cubes

    ¾ cup water (or milk/milk-alternative)
